CWDB - "A Newly Formed Apostolate"
The Holy Father has written an extraordinary document designed to set forth his vision for the Church. The document is titled Evangelii Gaudium which means "The Joy of the Gospel." Bishop Baker desires that all women in the diocese study this document. He has asked that the CWDB become the vehicle to communicate this request.
Membership in the CWDB is open to all Catholic women in the Diocese of Birmingham. There are no membership dues, commissions or permanent committees other than the Coordination Team, which plans and implements events for women that will unite them and give witness to their faith in Christ Jesus and His Holy Church.
As Church, we are called to go beyond our comfort level in order to invite others to faith. We are challenged to look in-depth at those with the greatest needs. Our Church is falling prey to criticism. By embracing our core values we will not get caught up in the negativity of the Church.
Get in touch with the Holy Father's message in "The Joy of the Gospel" by taking time for personal study and/or joining a parish study group.
